Cookie Policy

1. About this policy

BYQEE TEKNOLOJİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ ("Byqee", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://www.byqee.tech/ (the "Site") and any related pages, applications or digital channels we make available to you.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies we use, why we use them, how long they last and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more generally.

We may add, change or stop using cookies over time. Any changes to this policy take effect once published on the Site. Where changes materially affect how we process your data, we will ask for your consent again.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences and collect information about how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits. In this policy, all of these are referred to as "cookies".

We use both first-party cookies (set by Byqee) and third-party cookies (set by other organisations whose services appear on our Site).

3. Your consent

Strictly necessary cookies are placed without your consent, because the Site cannot function without them.

All other cookies, including analytics, preference, social media and advertising cookies, are placed only after you have given your consent through our cookie banner. Until you consent, these cookies are not set and no data is collected through them.

Continuing to browse, scrolling or closing the banner does not constitute consent.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the "Cookie settings" link available in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

4. Legal basis

5. Categories of cookies we use

5.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Site to work correctly and securely. They enable core functions such as keeping you signed in as you move between pages, remembering the contents of your basket, processing payments and protecting against fraudulent activity.

These cookies cannot be switched off through our cookie settings. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the Site will then stop working.

5.2 Preference cookies

These cookies remember the choices you make so that the Site can be personalised for you, for example your language selection or display preferences.

5.3 Analytics and performance cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site: which pages are viewed most, how visitors move through the Site, where problems occur and how the Site performs. We use this information to improve our service.

5.4 Social media cookies

These cookies are set by social media platforms when their content or sharing features are embedded on our Site. They allow those platforms to collect information about your visit and may be used by them to build a profile of your interests.

5.5 Advertising and targeting cookies

These cookies are used to show you products and services that may be relevant to you, both on our Site and elsewhere. They allow us and our advertising partners to recognise your device, measure the performance of campaigns and limit how often you see the same advertisement. They may track your browsing across different websites and match those records across domains.

6. The cookies we use

A complete and continuously updated list of the cookies set on this Site, including the name of each cookie, the party that sets it, its purpose and how long it remains on your device, is available in the "Cookie settings" panel accessible from the footer of every page.

The list is organised by the categories described in section 5, so that you can review the individual cookies in each category before deciding whether to consent to it.

7. Third parties and international transfers

Some cookies are set by third parties who act as independent controllers or as our processors. These parties have their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Where a third party acts as an independent controller, we recommend reviewing their policy directly. The identity of each third party is shown in the "Cookie settings" panel.

Byqee is established in Türkiye. Personal data collected through cookies may therefore be transferred to and processed in Türkiye, and by our service providers in other countries.

Türkiye is not currently the subject of an adequacy decision by the European Commission. Transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area to Byqee therefore take place on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, together with supplementary measures where required. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details in section 10.

8. How to control cookies

Through our cookie settings. The "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page lets you review and change your choices at any time, by category and by individual cookie.

Through your browser. Most browsers allow you to see what cookies are stored, delete them individually or entirely, block third-party cookies, or block cookies from specific sites. The steps differ by browser; see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.

On mobile devices. Your device settings allow you to reset or limit the use of advertising identifiers.

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Site from working. Deleting cookies through your browser will also delete the record of your consent choices, and you will be asked again on your next visit.

9. Your rights

Where cookies process your personal data, you have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller;
  • object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, including profiling;
  • object at any time to processing for direct marketing purposes;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

Exercising these rights is free of charge. We will respond within one month of receiving your request. That period may be extended by up to two further months where the request is complex or where we receive a number of requests; we will inform you within one month if this applies, together with the reasons.

We may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse to act, only where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of its repetitive character.

10. Retention

Data collected through cookies is retained for the duration shown for each cookie in the "Cookie settings" panel. The underlying personal data is not kept beyond the period necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Your consent choices are recorded so that we can demonstrate compliance, and are refreshed at least every 12 months.
